We flew into Ft lauderdale the day before and were picked up by the La Quinta shuttle. This hotel is close to the airport and Port Everglades. It is clean and reasonable in price. They have a shuttle to the port as well as picking you up at the airport until 11:00pm daily. We left for Port Everglades at 11:00am and were at the ship by 11:20. That was quite the trip as our driver was trying to be a comedian and almost was involved in 2 accidents. WOW. Boarding the ship was very easy as we had our set sail passes and were onboard by 11:40. We immediately went up to the Windjammer for a good buffet lunch. After eating we checked out our table for two in My Fair Lady dining room and we could not believe it as our table was right next to the table we ate at on a 5 day cruise in June of this year. We then walked around to explore the ship until 3:00pm at which time we met several couples from our cruise critic bunch that we had planned to meet in Schooner's bar. We had drinks chatted for a while and then left for our cabin to get ready for the muster. We found our luggage in the room and had time to unpack before the muster. We then went to the top deck for the sail away party. We then went back to our room to get dressed as we had main seating in the dining room.

We had a good dinner each night. Alina was our waitress from Romania and Robin our assistant from India. They were very friendly and served us well even going out of the way once or twice to make our dinners enjoyable. The entertainment was decent with El Gaucho definitely being the best.He is a comedian musician and all around entertainer. The comedian Eric Lyden was very good as well putting on two shows. We went to all shows in the Orpheum theater. We also enjoyed Karaoke and Majority rules Quest and Love and marriage game. The assistant cruise director Joshua was really good and full of energy. He will make an excellent cruise director in the near future. The ports visited were Key west and Cozumel. Since we have been there before we got off the ship for just a short time to shop. Disembarkation was a a breeze this time as we were off the ship by 9:15 and at the airport by 9:45. To sum it up we had a great time. We are not young but young at heart. We made friends especially a couple from Florida who are much younger than us. We would recommend this ship to anyone and everyone. The staff is friendly and we encountered no problems at all.We can't wait for our next cruise with RCCL.
