Sail Date: Oct 2007

This is a review of my 14 cruise on the Ryndam. The first 4 days was a repositioning cruise from Vancouver to San Diego. The next was a Mexican Riviera return to San Diego.

A little background on myself. I am a 46 year old female that usually travels alone. I have has several cruises with HAL but have also cruised with Celebrity, Princess and Carnival. While HAL used to be my favorite I am leaning more towards Princess. It's just not the same with HAL as it used to be. The food and the service aren't the same although I did see some improvements since the last time I sailed with HAL.

I started my trip in Vancouver without incident. I live approximately 1 hour plane ride from Vancouver so I flew in the same day with plenty of time to spare. It was a rainy day so a bit of a drag. I had an outside totally obscured cabin on the lower promenade but I could easily see the ocean by looking a little to my left. Our only stop was in Victoria.
