Itinerary 8 day Western Caribbean cruise calling at the ports of Cozumel, Mexico, Limon, Costa Rica, and Colon, Panama.

Our Group There were 10 in our group. Ages ranged from mid 30's to mid 50's (no kids). We were 4 married couples and two brothers. For DW and I, this was our 7th cruise, 4th on Carnival. We've also sailed twice on Princess and once on NCL. DW and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The group came from 3 different locations around the country, so everyone made their own travel arrangements. I can only comment on our own.

Pre-Cruise We flew in on Friday night from Dallas. DW had amassed enough Marriott reward points that we were able to book a room at the Marriott Renaissance on S.E. 17th St. just north of Port Everglades. When the hotel found out we were celebrating our anniversary, they gave us an upgrade to a honeymoon suite. Very nice. The room was huge with a large, comfy bed and lots of pillows. All in all, a great choice for one night.
