We stayed at the Airport Marriott and it was fine. This was our 4th cruise and our second with Carnival. THe trip to the port was eventful in this sense, the bus driver got lost and had to ask directions. This has never happened before.

Embarkation was good. It took about an hour and a half. They had water stations and they did not charge for the water.

Once on the ship I am going to say this. It was the best overall cruise we have taken. Royal Caribbean was our first and was still the most impressionable but this was at least a tie. The food was Great but I know what to expect and it did not disappoint. The Service was impeccable. I will give you an example of lunch. You have your choice of Hamburgers or Hot dogs, Pizza or Calzones, Fish and chip or bouillabaisse, or a Calamari and Zucchini pattie and fries, or the Buffet. Dinner was great and the service was spectacular. Our Head waiter was Kate and her assistant was Iwayan. Absolutely flawless in their job. If I wanted to complain about something I really couldn't. The first night I asked the bar server to have a glass of wine and a Manhattan for me @ dinner I gave him an advance tip and it was there every night. His name was Linn and he was at all the other venues such as the show and the Casino and he took care of me the entire week. Shows were great. Ports were good. Honduras was terrible from the perspective of poorness. However I am sure if I go back there in three years it will be built up.
