DH and I cruised the Carnival Legend from Sept 2 - 9, 2007. This was our 14th cruise. We booked this cruise with Cruise Critic friends that we met last year on the Carnival Glory.

We arrived in Tampa the day before our cruise. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Downtown. We booked through Priceline and got a great deal, which was $92 total, for a room with a $400 rack rate. The hotel was nice, with a roof top pool and hot tub and a business center with internet access. A sign says you need to pay for the internet, but we were able to log on and use it for free.

The hotel was a short shuttle ride away from Channelside (approx. $2 per person and 5 minutes) or for $6.00 per person, they will take you to the Columbia Restaurant at Ybor City. Our favorite restaurant! What fabulous food. We took the trolley back from Ybor to Channelside and then took the shuttle to the hotel from there. Now that we know how to do it that way, we will do that in the future, as it was a bit cheaper and fun to ride the trolley.
