Hi everyone, I am new to Cruise Critic, but am on my way to becoming an avid cruiser. My wife and I usually love every minute of it.
Our latest cruise was a three day cruise out of Miami on Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas. Our cruise took place from 8/31 - 9/3/2007. The check in process went quite smoothly and we were on board within a half hour. Things are quite well organized for boarding. Once onboard, we found our stateroom and relaxed for a bit. The stateroom is quite small (122 Sq. Feet) but we knew this going in so it wasn't a big deal. The room was very nice having been recently refurbished. I had no complaints about the comfort of the cabins. Our luggage was delivered very quickly and we were off to explore the ship. With this ship being one of the older and smaller of the fleet, there are not quite as many amenities as we were used to from our previous sailing on the Jewel, but there is still always a lot to do.
When we returned to the cabin before dinner, we came back to find our bathroom flooded with a leaky toilet. We called and they were there quickly to fix. We went off to dinner assuming all would be fine. It was fine again when we returned, but within another hour, it started leaking again and once again the bathroom was flooded. This time they actually replaced several parts on the toilet, and this seemed to fix it....That is until the third day of our cruise when it happened again. Three times our bathroom flooded! They said they could not move us to another room so we were pretty well stuck. They were quick to try to correct the problem each time, but each time they were unsuccessful. This put a damper on the entire cruise for us.
