Review of the Carnival Valor August 26 - September 2 2007

Introduction

Although this was my 10th and my wife's 11th cruise this is my first attempt to write a review. I booked this cruise about six months before the departure date primarily because I found a very good military rate at an on-line cruise site. I'm 64 years old and my wife is somewhere in that neighborhood also. We feel we are fairly experienced cruisers and have been very fortunate having never had a bad cruise, however some were better than others. This was my first cruise on Carnival and my wife's second having cruised on the Ecstasy previously, she did not enjoy that ship very much. I was extremely apprehensive about my first Carnival cruise because all I have ever read was about the "party" boat atmosphere. More later, but I found the cruise to be enjoyable.
