What an outstanding time, and a great cruise experience. This is the short and sweet view that I have of my recent trip on the Carnival Liberty. We departed on August 26th, and returned on September 1st.

I had looked for a trip that both my mother and I would enjoy. My mom is a fairly new cruiser with this being her second cruise. I looked at our options and We discussed the benefit of taking a suite, and getting VIP boarding, as well as more room to relax on the balcony.

We drove to the port the day of the sailing, and were pleasantly surprised to be able to drop the luggage off to the porters, and simply drive around the corner to the garage, located right next to the terminal. Others I spoke with used the Hampton Inn that allows you to park there for the week, if you stay a night prior to the cruise. I had my usual weather, aircraft and flight problems getting to Florida, from California, so we did not have that option, as I arrived on the gulf coast at 11pm the night before.
