I cruised with my husband on Aug. 30th, for the Labor Day weekend out of NY. We took the Metro from New Haven, CT and we were on the pier by 11:00. Paul and I were on the ship by 11:45 and walked around the ship, had lunch and we went to see our room on deck 10 balcony. Our room was clean and Edward our room stewart introduced himself to us. He was excellent and made sure we had ice in our cooler as well as our ice bucket twice a day. All meals were very good, and I enjoy trying different foods knowing that if I do not like it the waiter had no problems giving me something else. The chocolate melting cake is delish I had it each day, infact everyone at our table did. I met some great couples at our table and we enjoyed their company.
Paul and I took the St Martin and Bay of Fundy excursion through Carnival, it was wonderful.......it was 5 hours and very nice. The people in Canada were extremely friendly and I would love to visit again. They have this seaweed called dulce, I suggest you try it, they eat it like potato chips but....honestly, I would rather eat the chips than the dulce but you should try it they sell it in the market place.
The ship was always clean and I did not see any problem with the ship at all, what really bothers me, is hearing all the people complaining about it not being like Princess, or about the portions of food (honestly people, you can have as much as you want if one plate is not enough) I think some of the people on the ship think they are royalty and want special treatment over the other cruisers. This was an excellent cruise for the time allowed and price. I would go on this cruise again and maybe the 5 day as well.
