For our honeymoon we wanted to see parts of Hawaii that included several different islands, so we opted for a cruise. NCL was the only line in the islands at that time of year so I looked through the ships and found the date we needed and booked a balcony because it claimed to have a queen size bed. It was my first cruise with NCL, but I have cruised before.

We were offered a package that included air fair at a reduced rate. We could not request flight times and our air arrangements they gave us did not allow any time for touring before or after the cruise. I was very disappointed not to see the war memorial. Service to the ship put a smile on my face. Fast, friendly, and fun. We were on board in no time!

However, when we got to our room, we had two twin beds, separated by a night table for our honeymoon! I went strait to the service desk. They assured me that they could be put together and a pad would be put between them so we would not feel the gap. They insisted there were no queen size beds on the whole ship (the web site has been changed since I booked the cruise). 4 hours later it was not done, so we called to remind them. By 11PM (three MORE hours later) our beds had been turned down but were still not moved! Again we went down to the service desk and had to wait another 30 minutes for them. When they had finished, we found they had not put any pad down and there was a trench in the middle of the two beds. Exhausted, we went to bed anyway. In short, I lost track of how many times I went down to ask them to fix this, each time they assured us that the pad would be put on the fix the beds. By the second night I found our cabin steward and asked him directly. He informed us there was no such thing on this ship. The front desk refused to let me speak with a manager till Thursday and he gave us no solution, or compensation.
