We were first-time cruisers and really had no idea what to expect on this short and sweet cruise. With a hurricane in the Caribbean, we were just happy that we were able to get on the boat and enjoy our trip! Everything about this ship exceeded our expectations. The check in process was speedy and we boarded the boat around 2:30 without waiting in a single line. I suggest the coca-cola package, which is $6 per day (for adults) and gets you unlimited sodas and juices and a fancy dancy cup which made a great souvenir. The service was great, and though it was difficult at first to find our way around the ship, we quickly got the hang of cruise life. As I read here, the ship has been recently remodeled and was lovely. We had a superior ocean view suite, which is the bigger room (with a couch) and we found it more than ample. I was nervous about feeling "cooped up" and certainly did not in this room. Let's be honest, it's not spacious, but I was more than ample. The bathrooms are tiny, but manageable. The water pressure was EXCELLENT and we always had plenty of hot water. We didn't get a towel animal the first night, but came back from dinner on nights two and three to a bunny and swan, respectively. The food was awesome, all we did was eat! Breakfast buffet at the Windjammer was great. I loved having custom omelets made each morning. For lunch, we had pizza and did the Johnny Rockets deal (3.95 cover) once which was to DIE for. Best onion rings EVER! We ate dinner each night in the formal dining room and found everything to be delicious. Watch out when you order after dinner cappuccinos, they have to go to the 5th floor to have it made and bring it back to the dining room which can take a long time. Service was always wonderful, and the only thing we were ever disappointed by was the baked Alaska dessert. Activities were fun, though we usually found ourselves too tired for the late night stuff. Don't miss the belly flop contest by the pool and bingo. My husband and I are young and had never played bingo before (well, for money anyways) and we had a great time. We would by one pack of cards and 'share' them. Lots of fun. The shows were cute, nothing spectacular, but always good for a few laughs. In short, we're now cruising addicts and we're already on the lookout for more fun deals with RC!
