Serenade of the Seas to Alaska on August 4th,2007
Pre-cruise
We flew from JFK to Vancouver direct on Cathay Pacific for 300$ a person, which was half the cost of most other airlines that had one or more stops. Our flight was supposed to leave at 11pm and was scheduled to arrive in Vancouver at 1:40am. Due to heavy thunderstorms in the NYC area we were delayed for about 2 ½ hours. The service on the airline was wonderful though with a snack while we were waiting on the tarmac and then once we were airborne then they served a hot meal of which there were several to choose from.
