Sail Date: Jul 2007

We spent the last 6 days aboard the NCL Spirit...this trip was for celebrating our 30th anniversary...After reading many negative reviews before our sailing, I must admit I was a bit apprehensive, however, we did have a pretty good time...

Embarkation: We arrived at 11:30 and we did have to sit for 30 minutes before they began the registration process promptly at 12:00 but once they started,it went quickly and smoothly (probably one of the quickest embarkations I have experienced)..We were not allowed into cabins until 2:00 p.m. so we went to Windows for lunch and not to the buffet where most people went and were advised by staff to go..After lunch, we walked around a bit...the ship was very clean and the staff friendly...

Our room (balcony, deck 9) was clean upon arrival and we didn't meet our room steward until later that evening and didn't see much of him for the remainder of the trip (I did find that the room was cleaned later in the evenings compared to my other cruises, often coming back to room by 9 pm and bed still not turned down, etc...luckily we don't retire to our room early...
