Carnival Destiny, June 10th-June 17th
[Brief Overview – Who are we?] I am 25, and my fiancé is 23. We traveled with my grandmother who is 59. We are from NYC. This was our second cruise with Carnival; our first was with Carnival Miracle August 2006, and it was absolutely amazing!!! We know very little about cruises, so we do not have high expectations, yet Carnival Cruise Lines failed in many areas and lost our business after this trip.
[Embarkation] There is a duty-free shop. We took 4 bottles on the ship without any issue. The people working check-in do not work for Carnival so they do not care about alcohol. I saw Carnival employee’s doing the same (bringing in alcohol).
