We were a group of 16 consisting of 8 adults and 8 kids ranging from 6 to 16. We chose the Serenade because of the amount of glass and the activities that were on board for the kids. We made the right choice. I am writing for my family of 4, 2 adts and 2 kids ages 12 and 10. We flew to Vancouver 3 days early. We wanted to see as many things as we could. We arrives on Wed into Vancouver. Customs was a nightmare and it took us over an hour to get through it. It was about 1:30 and we took a limo to the Times Square Suites. It was great. We had a separate BR for us and a small room with a twin bed and the sofabed. It had 2 TV's and a full kitchen and washer/dryer. We walked around and ate at the Boathouse for dinner while overlooking English Bay beach.
The next morning, we rented a car and drove up the mountain to Whistler. It was a very scenic drive! We had zip-lining reservations up there that morning. It was our 1st time trying it and it turned out that we all loved it. It wasn't scary at all. We drove back later that day and stopped at many places along the way to check out the scenery.
The next morning, we drove to Granville Island and walked around. It was OK, nothing too exciting. We found our way to Lynn Canyon state park to walk the suspension bridge. It was beautiful. Our last stop that day was Grouse Mountain. We took the tram up the mountain and walked around for awhile. We loved the lumberjack show. We also enjoyed the hikes up some different paths. We returned the car and found and excellent pizza place named Nats on Denman St.
