IT was the worst cruise I have ever had. And will NEVER take another Royal caribbean cruise again.
It all started after we all (6 people, state rooms)checked in on Sat Feb.14th 2004. That is when they handed us a piece of paper stating due to the uprising in Haiti. We were not going to stop in Labardee. just stay at sea another day. I can understand the not stopping, but I didn't care for the way they were "sneaky" about it. it would have been nice to 1) know ahead of time, 2) they could of told SAID something instead of giving us a letter, along with all the other check in documents they handed us. and didn't find out til we were in our stateroom reading the letter that our 4 ports of call was now 3.
So now we had 2 full days at sea ( because the ship was going very slow) so you would think that the cruise director would have a back up plan for activities, well, think again. nothing, nada, zilcth. and if your saying to yourself. well, why not lay out along the pool. that would be an Idea if you could get a chair. although the "handbook" in my stateroom said ships policy was NO SAVING POOL CHAIRS. the crew must not of read that. you had to be up on deck before 7:00am to get a chair. otherwise. if you went up any later all the chairs had a towel reserving them for people that never showed up til after 11:00 sometimes noon. several guests asked the pool attendants how come they are letting people save chairs at and they didn't have an answer or cared. although 1 pool attendant did remove the towel and a magazine from a chair for a couple at around 10:30am ( the day we were to port at labardee) and at around noon the person ( I'll name Jethro for now)that left the towel and magazine finally showed up. ( hummm, saved chair at 7:00am, shows up at 12:00 noon )and started to swear at the couple in the chair. to get the f??? out of his chair, why did you steal my chair and my magazine etc, etc.
