Grand Princess was a general disappointment. Food was mediocre -- never hot, no matter what time/place. Dinner service was noisy and chaotic. One entree arrived having gone through only the first stage of its preparation -- the 2nd was forgotten -- veal chop was grey/white and looked boiled. Food tended to be rather "bland".

Specialty and herbal teas were not put out. One had to ask specifically for them, and then someone would proceed down to the "safe" where they would extract 1 single tea bag. This also applied to the provision of soy milk, skim milk, and lactaid milk. Buffet dining area was cramped and poorly designed. Service was provided on four sides facing each other, as so: ( || ), with the result people were crisscrossing back and forth. Specialty items like fresh strawberries disappeared within minutes -- not to be replenished.

Decor was tired and dowdy. And, some upholstered chairs in the public areas had stains on them and were worn. Stateroom bathroom fibre-glass was "yellowed" and worn. Sheet had a hole in it.
