Sail Date: May 2007
Cabin: Penthouse with Large Balcony

We are both in our early 40's and recently married. This was our honeymoon. We chose the Norwegian Pearl based on the itinerary (Glacier Bay) and the Freestyle dining concept. The newness of the ship and the bowling seemed cool too. Our cruise was on May 20, 2007.

3 days prior to the cruise we were offered an "upsell" from our BA balcony cabin on deck 9 to an AE Penthouse on the same deck for an additional $340 total. We did it and do not regret it. It was well worth it - our cabin was on the back of the ship giving us a 180 degree view, and it didn't matter what side we docked on, we saw everything. It was cool to see and hear the wake of the ship.

Being in a penthouse means you are a VIP and it gets you nice perks throughout the cruise.
