Sail Date: Apr 2007

I have sailed on several cruise lines including six times with Carnival on several classes of ships, including the Valor. We sailed on an 8 day eastern Carib. cruise. I was disappointed with the qualify of the onboard entertainment, because it simply was not up to the standards I experienced on other Carnival ships. It was amateurish. The quality of service in the dining room (Silver olympian) was also less than I expected, based upon previous carnival cruises.

We spend insufficient time in port while at Puerto Rico and Nassau. We had to rush, really rush, to get in one excursion and a little shopping. In fact, when I returned from the Bacardi factory tour in Puerto Rico all of the stores were closed except for bars and casinos.

The "super shopper" was newly hired and did not know the ports of call. The cruise director did not provide sufficient information regarding ports of call, and we had to guess when and where tour groups were meeting.
