Embarkation: We, my daughter (10yr old) and I, arrived at the Orlando airport and decided to take the Carnival (Mear) shuttle to Port Canaveral for 35.00 per person/ one way. I had booked a car through Budget, for $50.00, but the line at the encounter was at least a 35- minute wait. The trip was 45minutes long and smooth. Once at the port there was a long line but it proceeded pretty smoothly.

Stateroom: We had lunch at the Lido deck then proceeded to our room around 2pm. The room was on the inside cabin without a window which was OK. In the future I will book a cabin with a window, again my preference. The room was clean and service was great throughout the trip. I believe they do a better job maintaining the cabins than a regular hotel room where missing grout is the norm in the bathrooms.

Dining: We had a 6:15 seating in the Imagination restaurant and our waiter, Michael was great. The food was good but I must say all the meals we ate are drenched in butter, oil or some type of sauce. Therefore the food never tasted fresh. I guess when feeding over 2000 guests the freshness of the meals only go so far. They can also do a better job in offering more healthy choices on the menu.
