We had a great cruise and the Splendour is a beautiful ship. It is easy to get around in and we loved the solarium. One complaint we had was that the Windjammer Cafe was quite crowded and it was not easy to find a table while balancing a plate. The coffee and drinks area is very congested and not easy for the crew to keep clean. We had a nice group for our dinner partners and enjoyed each evening. The theater was one of the best we have been in and the seating comfortable, and it was easy to see from almost every seat.

We were somewhat disappointed with some of the entertainment, comparing it with other ships. The ping pong was set up very well and lots of people participated in this sport. Thanks RCCL. Other ships seem to leave this as one of the last things on their list of doing better. Since this was a long cruise, we missed the washer/dryer that other ships have, but notice that more and more a getting rid of this convenience. Too bad. We had the unpleasant experience of not getting one of our luggage pieces. It had arrived at the port in time but failed to get put on the ship. The purser helped us out but we assumed it was the fault of the airlines, and all along it was the cruise ship that had let the ball drop.

Food was ok. The beef was often tough, but tasted good. Would like to suggest senior servings as it seems like alot of food is wasted. Breads were great. The cabin crew were wonderful. One of the entertainers dialog was somewhat distasteful. Especially liked the 2 from Ireland, who played the guitar and violin. The Panama Canal was quite interesting and exciting to see. We could not hear the narrator or the announcements in our cabin, which was annoying. The side trips we arranged on our own were more that we expected. We went cave/tubeing and Zip line zipping in the treetops. Wonderful. Great trip.
