Cabin: Balcony

Traveling Party: 2 couples; no children Cabins: C753 (Aft Balcony) and C509 (Midships Balcony) Ports: Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas Cruise Experience: 1 couple, 2nd cruise (1 Carnival cruise); 1 couple, 1st time cruisers Dining: Anytime Dining; 1 lacto/ovo vegetarian

Embarkation: We arrived at the San Pedro port at 1:00 pm and had to wait until approximately 2:30-3:00 pm to board the ship. Embarkation could have been a lot smoother and it seemed a little disjointed. We found out later that the delay was because the ship/crew is subjected to periodic random inspections so instead of processing 3,000 passengers, they're processing an extra 2,000 crew/staff. Nothing a cocktail couldn't fix once we boarded the ship!

Cabins: C753 - The aft balcony cabin was nice and balcony was fully covered. We felt like we were the only ones on the boat and could only see our neighbors by leaning over the rail and peering around the balcony partition. We particularly loved the sound of the water when the boat was moving; noticed some slight movement/shuddering at times but nothing unsettling or particularly loud. C509 - balcony was bigger than anticipated and partially covered unlike the other deck balconies so some privacy was possible. Both cabins were efficiently laid out.
