We & 2 other couples arrived by car in Fort Lauderdale and opted to park in the provided garages. We could have saved money parking off-site but then would have had to handle luggage on shuttles and were glad when we returned as luggage was even heavier. First, let me say, we were not able to pick our own cabins and were only guaranteed a room. NEVER AGAIN! Only outsides left were obstructed view so we went with inside. I could have lived with that but we were given the very front cabins of the ship. Now if you are prone to sea sickness, as I am, do not book this way. And don't believe anyone who tells you the ships today do not make you sick; I've been on 7 cruises and get sick at least one day per cruise. Anyway, I thought I'd die one day and didn't even know if I could (or even wanted to) make it back to our cabin to take more Bonine. It was rocking big time there. Never book the very front or forward. when they take off or arrive the vibrating was too much and we were on the dolphin deck. Our room was decent tho not fancy. We had plenty of drawers and a nice closet. The bathroom had shelves and the shower had lots of pressure. The ship is nice and very clean. Nothing fancy but comfortable. We had a sold out ship but it never felt crowded. The entertainment was the best. At least one if not two shows every night and they were all exceptional. There was dancing and contests etc, as well. Evenings there was alot to do but daytime didn't seem so much. There was a movie every afternoon in the Princess theater. The only problem is the showrooms are freezing. Be sure to bring a sweater or shawl. You might want to pack accordingly. I must say, the personnel are fantastic. Every single person speaks to you as you pass or whatever. They are always friendly and helpful - service was #1. Any request was met immediately. I can't say enough. We had anytime dining in the Marquis room but had a standing reservation. Our wait staff was great fun and really made our cruise special. We tipped the head waiter the day we arrived and every night he asked what we wanted for the next day and we received it. We ate like royalty (& gluttons, I hate to add). The buffet was decent but pretty monotonous. Breakfast was always the same. The grill had typical food which was good. They also had a separate restaurant that served pizza for lunch and pizza & pasta etc for dinner. We only ate for lunch once and never returned for dinner. We had it too good in the dining room.

We stopped in Isla Margarita which is nothing but a few souvenir stands and a small beach. We hired a van to go into the "city" - it was a waste of money as there was nothing to see but poverty and a church. In Dominica we attended mass (8:30 am) which was special. It is a very small village which you can see most of from the ship which docks right there in town. We did not take any tours and after walking around a bit we returned to the ship. My husband found the alcohol to be cheap. Curacao was probably our favorite. It was colorful and clean. It was a good place to shop for souvenirs. We walked around in the morning and took a tour of the city in the afternoon which we all agreed was a waste of money. We also went to Barbados where we hired our own taxi and lucked out with an excellent guide. It was much cheaper and I'm sure better than a bus. We did not stop downtown for shopping. It was too busy and crowded. We did St Thomas - went to Megans Bay - opted not to shop. we also went to Princess Cays which was a beautiful private island stop. souvenirs were overpriced here. We took the Grand Princess last year and the similarities were a bit much. I don't think I would take another Princess anytime soon only because it almost felt like a "rerun". I wouldn't do this itinerary again but if you love the beach and the price is right - go for it.
