Sail Date: Apr 2007

My best friend and I, (we've been best friends since we were 8 and we're 48 now), decided to leave our husbands home and enjoy a week in the Western Caribbean on the Voyager of the Seas. It was not my choice of itinerary, but my friend had never been to these ports and I didn't mind.

Once you've been on the newer Voyager class, this ship seems a little basic. However, she is equally as beautiful and was the first ship built in her class. She is in great condition and doesn't look her age.

The first day at sea is a perfect start. It gives everyone who travelled to get to Miami a chance to rest up a little, and there is so much to do onboard after sleeping in an extra hour or two. It is the perfect day to explore the many venues of the ship, or just lay out by the pool and take in the sun. I found that it was easy to find a lounge chair on this ship. Most other Voyager class that I had been on were not as easy. The Captain's Welcome/Gala night was very nice as well.
