My wife and I have cruised 5 times before but this was our first on RCCL and we could not have had a better time. We did the Southern Caribbean on the Adventure of the Seas and both of us had a blast. Wow what a huge ship but all week long we never felt cramped or crowded in anyway. We were amazed how fast and easy it was to go from the airport shuttle to our room onboard in approx 20 minutes. We filled out the easy pass online and it really saved time at the boarding terminal. My wife and I also liked how the ship does not set sail until late at night so if you want to get off the ship in San Juan or you can stay onboard and enjoy the ship. The size of the terminal is also good for people who have trouble walking. I had just had my hip replaced 8 months before the cruise and I had no trouble walking through the terminal and onto the ship, it was very easy. My wife and I cant wait till we sail again out of San Juan On the AOS.

THE SHIP--Huge,but not too huge that you felt lost. My wife and I never felt crowded in anyway all week. Because of the wonderful staff it made very easy getting around the ship the first day. We had a JR suite looking for the extra room space when our friends stopped by. I was a bit surprised by the size of the room for the money I spent for the suite. I have gotten larger rooms for less $$$$ on other cruise ships. The room was always neat and clean but just a bit smaller than I wanted. My wife and I also had little bit of a stiff back by weeks end. Guess the mattress wasn't the best but I hear a bunch of them were to be replaced. The service of our room steward made the stiff back a little bit easier to deal with. Dont let the horror stories about the Puerto Rican people scare you off. My wife and I found the Puerto Rican people and the entire mix of other people onboard the ship to be friendly and entertaining to talk with. We saw no signs of out of control people anywhere. I did see over 3,000 people having fun just as my wife and I did.

THE STAFF--The staff onboard the AOS were the best my wife and I have seen for a cruise staff. Our Waiters "SAJ & BRUNO", the bar staff, the pool servers and our room steward "Stanley" made our week at sea wonderful and that we cant wait to sail again on a RCCL ship. The only glitch in the service all week was our second day at sea I got a call from the information desk saying they had my luggage to come down. I know this was a mistake because I had all my luggage already so I went down to the desk. When I got there the girl behind the desk said oh it was a mistake and the real owner had the luggage back. I though they could have called me back to cancel me coming down there for nothing.
