Background Information—We are a married couple, age 37 and 30 from San Diego. This is my second cruise, my wife's first.

Embarkation-Excellent. We were met by NCL rep at airport at 11:30 am. We waited for ourluggage and were whisked onto a bus after our luggage was boarded onto a truck. No lines, we were on the ship within 20 minutes of arriving at the pier (just about 1:00 pm). They had a ship introduction in the main theater but we decided to book a couple of nights at the specialty restaurants and book an excursion. Both were simple and quick, no lines. We then relaxed at the bar an by 4:00 pm the announcement came that all cabins were ready!

Cabin - We opted for an outside cabin with window on the 7th deck toward the front. One reason for choosing this cabin was that this deck only has about 50-60 cabins, compared with main cabin decks of over 300. The cabin was small but fine for two of us on a weeklong casual cruise. They make efficient use of the small space in the bathrooms. The beds were very firm, but we would rather have that than too soft. We had a small tv with a couple of ship channels (info about the ship, about shows, about ports of call), two movie channels with recent DVD releases (Casino Royale, The Queen, etc.) a news channel, a TNT-type channel and a local Hawaii channel.
