The Infinity, though older was neat and clean and well kept. As regular Princess cruisers we were impressed by Celebrity service levels. Example,: try and contact guest services during busy hours on Princess, not happening. But Celebrity Guest Services ALWAYS picked up on the first ring! Our table in the back of the dining room next to the big windows was awesome. The food was very good, but we liked princess buffet area a little better. Also the rooms were nice but a little tight.
The problem we had was even though this is their summer, once we went south of Puerto Madryn, (5th day of 14 day cruise), it was too cold to go out on the deck and pool area. So with 6 days at sea we were confined to the interior of the ship. To make it worse, celebrity's annoying "Class System" did not allow us access to all areas of the ship. In addition, there was maintenance going on in areas we wanted to go, and we had to run out of an afternoon show in the theater due to a very strong odor of solvents they were using on something. Very poor that we were not advised of this in advance.
Ports: this should be a 10 day cruise and lose some of the useless ports. Punta Del Este is nice for rich European tourists but useless as a cruise port. Also, Puerta Arenas was a port with almost nothing to offer but a decaying old outdoor museum which we froze trying to see it.
Slightly small but well laid out, closets by the door were difficult to get around. Closet lay out in Princess is much better.Slightly larger veranda was nice but bad weather stopped us from using it muchShower area was good.
