We are seasoned RCL cruisers (Diamond Plus) and came from Florida fore this cruise. We had been led to believe the Voyager had been refitted and updated to reflect other RCL ships. On the plus side, we had a wonderful cabin steward. The weather played a part in the cruise (cool and windy) and the ship was not prepared for the weather by not having in doors entertainment beyond card games, port talks, and never ending sales in the promenade. The ship claimed they were having technical difficulties with the entertainment part of the cruise and had to cancel a number of shows. What was left was one person shows of comedians, hypnotists, and a piano player. Not exactly what we had come to expect from RCL. The ships staff seemed to be out of cink particularly in the dinning rooms. Rumors circulated among guests that some of the crew had jumped ship in Sydney prior to the cruise. We could not validate that rumor, but it was talked about frequently. While many parts of the ship had been updated (Flow rider) and other public areas, the cabins were looking pretty worn. Our balcony view included lots of rust, paint chips and a weathered balcony railing. When we visited the various sounds in south New Zealand we went to the Diamond Lounge hoping for some great views only to find the windows covered with dirt and grime throughout the lounge. We have lots of cruises under our belt with RCL and other carriers and I would rate this one on a scale of 1-10 a 4. Not really sure what happened but this is one ship I would avoid until some changes are made. We had an overwhelming feeling that the main purpose RCL had with this cruise was to get as much money for the least value out of its passengers. The final straw was the sale of popcorn for $4 a box at the ICE Shows on board!!!!!
