We were walking on Sunshine for a glorious 8 days. This was hands down the best cruise we have ever taken. We have been on 5 Carnival cruises and I have been on 2 Norwegian cruises, and this was by far the best one. I had read many reviews of the Sunshine and was very nervous about our cruise, but I did not face any of the problems others had in their reviews. Embarkation was smooth, my husband is disabled and the put us through right away. When we got on the ship I was in awe of the gorgeous lobby. Our room was ready right away, and we were on the boat by Noon. We went and had lunch and then hung out by the AWESOME water-slides until the muster drill. The food was the best we have encountered on Carnival- light-years ahead of Carnival Glory. Camp Carnival was amazing, the staff was friendly and very engaged with the children. I am a teacher and I felt more comfortable leaving my daughter with Camp Carnival than I do leaving her at school. She had a fabulous time and wanted to spend much of her time there (she is 7). The comedians were hysterical, we are not to big on the shows so I cannot comment there. The entertainment staff were the best of any Carnival cruise we had taken. Wee Jimmy and Erica and there staff are AMAZING- they really know how to help their guests have the time of their life, not to mention Wee Jimmy should be a comedian himself! The ports were awesome- St. Maarten has the nest beaches of The Caribbean in my opinion. Best Cruise EVER!!!
Smaller with less space than other ships I have been on, awkward bathroom (super small) but who really spends their time in their room? It was comfortable and quiet.
