Yes, there were lots of kids (of all ages); no, it wasn't a problem.

I'm a solo traveler, who normally winds up paying the single supplement on an inside room. I picked the Epic's voyage for two reasons: it was going to Jamaica, where I hadn't been, and it had solo rooms that were very reasonably priced.

I got to the port a bit before 11am, and we weren't allowed on the ship until around 12:30pm (they stated they were running late). I didn't mind, because I say in the air-conditioned waiting room and used their wifi and was happy, if a bit hungry (I had walked to the port from Biscayne Blvd, which while doable was a bit of a walk). We were given cards to let us know when we could board, to avoid a mad rush, which is a great idea.

Cabin T1

It was small, but plenty of room for one person. I was worried that, since the bed is right next to the hall, that it would be noisy, but for the most part I could hear very little. I could actually hear more from the room next door; let's just say that I knew when that room's toilet was flushed and the phone rang. I liked being relatively near the lounge, as I took advantage of the (filtered) water and the hot tea that was always available. I wasn't bothered at all by the doors to the lounge opening and closing.
