Recently I took an adventure with my family to Mexico from Port New Orleans. The cruise was awful from the beginning. We had no one to make us feel welcome at the port and no one to help point out what direction our room was in. The first thing we did was eat, the food was awful the whole trip. As a first time cruiser I was really excited about the $300 15/day alcohol package but that was actually stripped from my wife for the rest of the cruise because the staff thought she was too drunk! She wasn't even that drunk first off and secondly, I would understand making her wait 6-8 hours if she was drunk but strip her drinks and waste our money for something so minor? Wow how strict! The best and basically only think to do was hang out by the pool all day, we have a pool at our house where I could've done that! Next when we got off the port in Cozumel, there was no beaches to swim at, just rocky beaches and tourist shops. We had to take a taxi four miles just to enjoy the beach! When we tried to get out at Progresso, they wouldn't let my wife off of the boat because they shut down her alcohol card and I guess they did not want her to drink in Mexico! The casino was PACKED and very small. The ship was filled with crazy drugged out college kids. This trip was awful and a waste of money! DO NOT CRUISE WITH CARNIVAL
