My mother, my daughter, my 20-month-old granddaughter and I, along with my husband and son-in-law, sailed on the Getaway for our Spring Thaw Cruise 2015. We sailed out of Miami in a thunderstorm but soon encountered sunny skies and calm waters.

The Cruise Critic meet and greet was the best I've ever attended, thanks so much to the couple (whose names escape me) who volunteered to make all of the arrangements. GREAT JOB! We had quite a crowd. We were joined by several officers and a Nickelodeon character whose name also escapes me. The crew interacted with us a great deal, much more so than at other M&Gs where they more or less just introduced themselves and asked if there were any questions. The complimentary banana smoothies were fabulous and we really enjoyed meeting everyone!

We had a Haven Aft-Facing Penthouse with Large Balcony and an adjoining/connecting Family Balcony (12904 and 12902). Because the two rooms had a door between them, allowing us all free access from one to the other, everyone in both cabins was treated as Haven guests. NICE!

Cabin Review

The Haven Aft-Facing Penthouse with Balcony

Cabin H6

Loved the huge deck, the huge bathroom, the shower with about a hundred jets of water coming from all directions and the large tub. The smaller cabin did not have a tub, so the baby was able to use the tub in our bathroom which, by the way, also had a great view of the aft deck. So, bath time was great fun.
