Cabin: Mid-Ship Inside Stateroom

The Getaway is a huge ship. There are many different public areas. The stateroom we found to be a bit smaller than we are used to. This is the first Norwegian Cruise we have been on (We have been on 7 Carnival and 1 Princess Cruise). The casino is in the middle of the ship and allows smoking which is too bad because the smoke smell permeates from there. This is a brand new ship.... too bad they felt it was important to allow smoking in the middle of the ship. The food and service was very good. We enjoyed most of it. They are being very proactive about germs with people stationed at the entrances to the buffet with spray bottles of hand sanitizer and also hand sanitizer pods throughout the ship. The shops on the ship are small. They had a flash sale but it was in a cramped area with long unorganized lines to check out and only a couple people handling the check outs at each of the two areas...most of the prices were not good enough to warrant a look. The entertainment was good with a wide variety. We really enjoyed the adults only area in the back of the ship during the day which had 2 hot tubs, a bar and a waterfall wading area. My husband walks with a cane so we used the wheelchair service for getting on the ship the day we arrived and off the ship when we returned to Miami and everything was very smooth. For such a large ship there didn't seem to be any problems or long lines getting on or off it was very organized for everyone.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside Stateroom

The room was clean and neat and our room steward was very accommodating. Although it was a bit smaller than what we are used to.
