This was our 4th cruise and our 3rd on Norwegian. We took the train to New York and a cab to the terminal. In all it took less than 2 hrs.of travel for us. The cab ride took about 15 mins since it was a weekday morning. Once we arrived we were checked in in less than 10 mins. Everything went smoothly.

The Norwegian Gem is in the jewel class and is a beautiful ship. The cabins and public area's are always clean. I did notice that the public bathrooms are cleaned no less than 10 times a day. Some people are pigs when it comes to these bathrooms and I guess the staff are aware of this. I went into a couple over the 9 days and saw they were dirty. Later when I went back they were cleaned up. If you notice on the back of the door there is a sheet that they staff fills out when they clean the bathroom. It's nice to know they keep on top of it.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

This is a nice cabin with plenty of storage. It is just under the SPA so there isn't a lot of noise. Even the music from the pool didn't bother us. We could only hear it if we were on the balcony.
