This was our first time cruising on Celebrity but have over 20 cruises on Royal Caribbean so we are not new to cruising. Summarize to say we already booked another for next year! We love RCCL but for our demographic this was ideal (50's, like to party, like quiet time, love good service and premium food and beverage). Pros: Decor, service, variety of restaurants, quality of food, crew (especially cabin attendants), clean, variety of activities, only one ship announcement per day, very limited smoking (no smoking in the casino!), loads of bars, plenty of places inside and outside to relax. Cons: The cabin doors are spring loaded which we understand but they slam loudly so apparently our neighbors were early risers so every morning at 7 we were awakened with the slamming of doors. Made worse when people get room service and the crew members enters and leaves and the door slams each time. Other ships we've sailed on are spring loaded but not like this. The only other thing that was a disappointment was the staff at the spa. They were indifferent at best to us being there and not very helpful. I had to search for the area to go to for a scheduled massage and was kind of pointed down the hall to the locker room and massage area which was on another deck. They can do better here.
Overall we loved it!
Great cabin. Not too far from the stairs. Relatively quiet but could Celebrity do something about how tightly the doors are made to close? We were awakened every morning to our neighbors opening and closing their doors and letting them slam. Room service waiters do the same. Drove us mad!
