We eat all of our meals in the Lido as I don't like to change my clothes just for a meal. I must say the crew working in the Lido were the finest crew I have ever seen. They were very friendly and quite efficient. To counterbalance the Lido crew, the guest relations crew was amongst the worst I have ever seen. I could not get an honest answer out of any of them. An elevator was down for about 17 days and I got three different answers about getting it running again. When they finally got it going, I asked the G.R. manager what they finally did and she told me they took parts from another elevator to get it going. Knowing its hard to get the truth out of G.R., I checked all elevators and found them to be running.(If they took parts from another elevator, why is that elevator still working?) What really upsets me the most about Holland is the way they gouge you on their tour prices. My wife and I signed up for a dune buggy ride and Holland charged us $349 apiece. Two other couple took the exact same ride with us, but they did it on their own and it only cost them $60 apiece. When I found out how badly I had been gouged, I contacted the tour dept. and the guest relations manager and neither would do anything about it. I walked away feeling that they felt " We got your money sucker and their is nothing you can do about it. I immediately cancelled every one of my remaining tours with Holland and I will never tour with them again. If you don't mind saving money, I highly recommend that you sign up for a tour through cruise critic or do it on your own. At the end of the cruise, we were told we would be among the first ones off as we had an early flight to catch. We were among the first ones off, but then we had to wait for an hour and a half for our luggage to arrive at the terminal. We then went to the transfer bus that was supposed to take us to the airport and we were told it would be at least 20 minutes before t would depart, so we took a cab which costs us $17 for the two of us. (They had charged us $39 apiece to take their transport.) I learned a very valuable lesson. DON'T EVER BOOK ANYTHING THROUGH HOLLAND.)

Deluxe Verandah Ocean-View Stateroom

Cabin AB

Room was small, but doable. It took two grown men and a jack-ass to open and close the verandah door. We were supposed to have a walk in closet, but there was none. I complained to the front desk(G.R.) and the lady asked me if I could stand in the closet. I told her I probably could if there were no clothes hanging up, at which time she told me if I could stand up in it , it was a walk in closet. I kept complaining with other G.R. staff and they finally gave us each a meal in the Pinnacle Grill, which was next to nothing as we already have 50% off in the Grill.
