Getting there:

We flew into Ft. Lauderdale the day before just in case there was a Buffalo storm and our flight wouldn't make it. We used JR Shuttle from the airport to hotel, hotel to Miami cruise terminal and cruise terminal back to Ft. Lauderdale. They were excellent, always within their 5 minute stated timeframe. We had private vehicles which most shuttle companies do not offer. Our flight home was at 11:30am so we were worried we wouldn't make the airport in time. We walked off the ship with our luggage, called them and they arrived within 5 minutes and had us at the airport in plenty of time.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

Great room. We chose deck 8 (Empress) because we learned from other cruises that there are only rooms above and below you. A lot quieter. Lots of room and closet space, Did not like the hangers in the closet, 6 hangers connected to a round hook. Made it very hard to get your clothes in and out. We asked the cabin steward for more hangers and she brought us some regular ones. They do not give you any amenities like they use to so bring your own lotion etc. There is shampoo and bath gel in the shower. One good thing they haven't taken away - the hand held shower head. Although, there is not much water pressure as they try to save water. Towels were thick and plentiful. Bed was comfortable. Small flat screen TV was available.
