Check in. Lots of people attempt to board the ship between 1-2 pm despite the numbers 45 minutes we were on board- room ready and bags present. Advice-- wait till 3 pm and you will practically walk on board.
Ship. Most carpet had been replaced to the ship was in good working order. The ship is cared for well. Eating areas are kept clean with a active staff. Expect big crowds at the first showing. It was common for folks to arrive 45 min early just to get a seat. Our sailing was full and most of the the older cruisers like to eat early. Activities were abundant during the 11 sea days--- yes 11 sea days. New entertainers would arrive in Hawaii while the old ones got off the ship. One of the nice features are the many movies shown throughout the cruise, both "under the stars" , Vista lounge and in the main Princess Theater.
Service. We thought there was a great crew to passenger ratio. Tables were cleaned promptly and coffee and juice was easily available from a server when you were up on the Lido deck. Of course Room service and the Steward who served our room were simply great.
We were upgraded to this handicap room on deck 10 mid ship. Simply a great room with wide showers and bathroom. More room in your cabin and a very large balcony. The room is centrally located to it is easy to get to anywhere on the ship. The carpet needs to be replaced
