This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise and after almost 10 cruises under our belt this was by far the worst experience ever!. To top it off this was our Honeymoon cruise and not one member of the crew ever even congratulated us or even acknowledged that it even after we told them it was our honeymoon. With the exception of the Bartender in the casino Bar Jayho ( not sure how to spell it) and John the waiter that worked in Silk we were very dissatisfied. I don't know that we will ever even consider another Royal Caribbean cruise based on how we were treated and the fact that everything closed if you wanted to party all night there were no options after about 2 a.m. The Segway at the buffet between meal times was horrible, most of the buffet was closed, you didn't even keep the ice cream maker on if someone felt like having an ice cream cone after 6.p.m. Dinner times were horrible as well, we heard one excuse after another for the slow and inattentive service, none of which made us feel any better. We paid more for this cruise than any other and received the worst service ever!. Apparently it was our understanding that you decided to put a whole new crew on the ship for our vacation and as a result we suffered tremendously. I am extremely disappointed as to the experience we had. No one knew how to smile or even talk to us like we were grown adults. I being 49 and my husband being 58 years old, this did not sit well with us. Your crew liked to bark orders like "Wash your hands!" Which I did before every visit to every restaurant regardless of the ordering of such. The cashier at the casino with the (English or British Accent was supper rude, as I asked her 3 days in a row to explain the point system to me which her response was " its on the paper". By day 3 I asked her to explain it because I didn't understand and she rudely walked away as she again mumbled its on that paper. Well that was unacceptable behavior to me. As employees of a cruise line the #1 priority should be customer service. A smile a thank you and a minute of your time would not hurt your future business. I did not meet anyone on the ship that was happy with the service of your crew. The smoking section of the deck was constantly dirty, ashtrays were never emptied by your staff not there and not in the casino either, people thought I worked there because I constantly was cleaning ashtrays. Royal Caribbean owes everyone a big refund for the lack of service we received. Our refrigerator in our cabin did not work and 2 days went before they replaced it for another one that did not work! What kind of service is this? To start off our cruise day 1 we came to our room with "Happy Anniversary" decorations instead of Just married and when I called to let them know they used the wrong one I was told you use "Happy Anniversary decorations for numbers celebrations" Are you kidding Me?? It was Not our Anniversary! We also ordered a bottle of wine and cheese and fruit the cheese was the worst cheese I ever tasted in my life, it stunk so bad we had to throw it out and the fruit we could have gotten in the windjammer at any time during the cruise. The nerve of you to charge us for that. To end our cruise there was a very tall bald man that walked over to us interrupted our conversation with these young woman and told us quote "THE CASINO IS NO CLOSED AND YOU MUST VACATE THE PRMISES" I was looking at him thinking this is someone just joking around never in a million years would I imagine that this was an actual crew member. He sounded like Arnold Swartzenager it was really incredible how rude he was! Next thing we know 3 security officers came over to ask us to ask us what the problem was and we told them about this man and his rudeness, in fact it was more than rude he was acting in a threating manor that no way did we believe he worked here. There is a much nicer way to ask your paying customers to leave..... Does this sum it up for you? So when asked how you can improve, I have to tell you, I don't know how you fix Rude and obnoxious employees. You were understaffed and you gave us the worst experience I could have imagined for our honeymoon. You can't take it back, cause we won't have another Honeymoon. I am regretfully not a fan of Royal Caribbean and I can't believe we were treated that way. And Just so you know, I only highlighted the worst memories, there were many more rude and obnoxious encounters with your crew throughout our entire 12 days. Thank you for making our honeymoon a cruise to remember forever.
