We discovered Celebrity in November of 2011 and have since been on 17 cruises with them. Although I have not seen any fabulous "deals" in recent time, the 123 GO etc gives value, but you are just paying up front for that which I would get anyway, mainly the drink package.

DH and I spent this past trip missing all the things that made us Celebrity fans in the first place. Probably the most upsetting is the "dumbing down" of Celebrity. I really enjoyed the speakers! Last November we were on a Top Chef cruise, so I thought they were the "speakers". In December the gave gifts to all the children, so I figured "Santa" was the speaker. Getting on the Connie in March and STILL not having any Speakers pretty much assured me of the fact the Celebrity no longer wanted my vacation to have any intellectual value at all. I enjoyed learning about the gold standard, the items that NASA has contributed to society and yes, even the workings of the Reflections waste system. On this past trip they didn't even have a galley tour!

Knot tying got a little old as did navigation, but we still went.

Cabin C1

What a balcony!! HUGE. It had a table with FOUR chairs, 2 lounge chairs and 2 side tables and still plenty of room.......Great view, no fruit on the deck from deck 10, very private.
