The crew (with one exception) on Rhapsody was excellent - from Lorelei (cabin) to Sydney (dining room). Always a smile, no request too problematic. Room was immaculate all the time. Reallly enjoyed the Centrum area - focal meeting place. Downsides - Food was fair at best - nothing like losing weight on a cruise. Lunch was the worst - bad salad bar, dried out burgers, fishy fish, tuna, egg, turkey salads that were put thru a blender until you could drink it with a straw, recycled Indian food. And really, are the only two veggies in the world of cruising called broccoli and carrots? Dinner was not too bad and we could usually make a choice of something. We did the Asian restaurant one night - why would you have a sushi place in which all the fish was frozen? Definitely skip this one - not even worth keeping open. Also smelled liked fried food in there which lingered on our clothes. Excursions/excursion desk - not pleasant people working there. We wanted to do a Great Barrier Reef tour - this was the reason we took this cruise. The desk told us that all tours were booked up prior to setting sail so we never got to see it. Really? This is a major point on the cruise and to not have spots for people is really a lack of planning. Captain was excellent. We sailed during the tropical storm Marsha - he gave many updates, exuded confidence and was also very funny. Clone this man.

Cabin Review

Cabin
Room was good - comfy, room to store things...no complaints... cabin steward, Lorelei, kept it so clean.
