This was my second cruise with Celebrity, but I think I set myself up for disappointment by my first cruise being a 12 day Mediterranean on the brand new Solstice back in '09. The Solstice was amazing, and the Constellation was a bit of a disappointment in comparison. I chose to go with Celebrity because it tends to be a more classy crowd, older, not so many kids, etc. Well, this cruise was overflowing with trashy, loud, disrespectful college kids on Spring Break. We heard that there were 1000 passengers on board between the ages of 19-25, and it was obvious every where you went on the ship.

I realize Celebrity isn't going to turn away paying passengers, but I do not feel that they did a good job of enforcing rules - especially the dress code. At one point I saw a group of college girls in thongs sitting in the cafe with no cover ups. Bare bottoms on the chairs. No one said anything to them. The college students completely took over the pool area every day and there was no chance of anyone over 30 making their way into the pool without being subject to MTV-style gyration and language from the kids. On day one, after being on the ship for about 30 minutes we already saw frat guys walking through the cafe bare-chested, beers in both hands.

Aside from the Spring Breakers, here are my thoughts:

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2A

The cabin was a nice size, and it was great having a balcony. There was plenty of storage. The room did show some wear though - torn bed skirt with stains.
