Booked 2x 7 night back to back cruises on the Freedom. Big mistake. RCI system is not set up for this, even though advertised. We had the same cabin for both cruises. Attended a meeting on board and told how the back to back cruisers would be handled on the cruise change day. Was told it would take approx 30mins to go off the ship and back onboard. 3hours later we are still standing in the terminal building waiting to get back onboard. They even held us back until the new passengers got on. No apologies no explanation just some very unpleasant woman herding us like sheep. RCI were pushing drinks packages, so we took one the first week, but found that we were then ignored by a large number of bar staff as they could not make any gratuities from us. The second week we never took out the package and found the bar staff could not do enough for us to buy drinks. Main dinning room was good, but I would say slightly poorer than previous RCI ships. Ask for Glenford, and Ruth, two excellent waiters. Dined in Chops Grill, steak was first class but again let down by not having "steak fries". This was cruise number4 with RCI but afraid to say will be the last. The standards have dropped and all they want is your money and then some.
