We arrived a day early in Houston and stayed at Marriott Courtyard. Hotel is ok, nice thing is the Bistro, which allowed for a quick dinner and drink after the flight. Next day we took Island breeze shuttle to the port (really great service) and arrived at the ship early. We had no problem boarding. Lunch was available in the Windjammer, though I wish they would also open a dining room. The food was good during the trip but not exceptional. I agree with one other review, that the Lobster night was disappointing. The other meals had a wide variety, the preparation was good and the food hot when served. We enjoy formal nights but it seems less and less people dress up. Cruise Critic meet and mingle had a good crowd. This is our 6th cruise 3 with Royal. Compared to other lines the deck bar service is slow and bartenders seem inattentive. We are now starting to compare service levels with other lines. On-board during the week the event menu is less than we see on other lines. The crew run events we did attend were fun though.

Roatan is a small port for walking and shopping, the straw market has some interesting gifts. In Belize City we took the Altun Ha Mayan Site and River Wallace excursion and we had a blast, relaxing river boat ride (many animals and the dolphin) and good Mayan ruins which were easily accessible. In Cozumel we walked into town 3 mi. (next time a taxi) and shopped.

The entertainment was good each night, both comedians were entertaining. Our room was clean and well taken care of (7332). We hung out at Boleros most nights, the music was pretty good. Thank you Monica at Boleros, you made the trip enjoyable. The gym was not crowded and had plenty of machines. We were late into port, Fog, and had a late number for departure. Customs was very slow, good thing the shuttle was just a little late. Over all we had a good time on the Navigator and on the cruise. Were already planning the next adventure.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Room is good size. There is plenty of storage. The room is mid ship aft easy to get to from the elevator and stairs. No complaints about the room or balcony.
