We have traveled before with costa's second biggest ship but the difference is night and day. The cabin had a broken air condition (it smelled terrible when turned on). I was served rotten mussels, upon asking to see the chef I was told to speak to the Maître D instead who had no words (literally didn't even apologize) just had the plate replaced. Receptionists on Deck 3 always looked stressed out and irritated when critique came their way the response. carried an arrogant undertone. Left a message at the reception to friends, which they never got. No towels near the pool anymore. You get your blue pool towel in your room once a day now. No shrimps on the menu/buffet.

Nights were terribly loud!!! Impossible to sleep on deck 6 from all the noise on deck 3 and the room was nowhere near the elevators. Now about the animation during the day... Ultra loud Zumba music almost blew my ears I could hear it well from the outside pool area. My cell phone was stolen in the gym, turns out it's the only place where they don't have cameras on this ship. The buffet breakfast and lunch was always the same, very boring. Again, no comparison to the buffet from Costa Pacifica in 2012. Water now costs 3 euro per 1L plastic bottle, meanwhile they claim to be worried about the environment! When we got the room delivered continental breakfast there was a big black hair in my milk glass. The decor of this shipis hideous, and the silverware, napkins, sheets are all older than the ship itself.

The theme seems to be "massturism hits cruise" without the discount pricetag. My advice is to stay far away from Costa Diadema
