I read often about cruises on this site. Some are down right scary. I'm not sure where all the negativity comes from on some cruises. Particularly the one written by someone on this same cruise who said we stopped a lot for mechanical problems. We only stopped at our ports. I never heard anything about problems. I think the main thing to remember is that you aren't on your turf anymore--you can't always have it your way as we Americans often think we can.

Obviously we all have different experiences even on the same cruise, and my group had a great time. It wasn't perfect, but very enjoyable. This was my first time on Royal Caribbean.

Yes, there were powdered eggs and the movies were the same three. That could be better. But the food was certainly fine and filling. I do wish the Windjammer opened in the evening earlier than 6:30 pm. But the ship was in great shape. A few scratches here and there and a worn rug or two, but it was immaculate and beautiful. The staff cleaned and maintained while we were on board and at stops. I did ask for ice for the room. The balcony room was a good size with more storage than I've seen on a ship before. The balcony was small. There was a slight sewage smell in the bathroom for the duration. The dining room service was good as was the food.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

The room was large with more storage than I am used to. It was toward the back. The shower was curved and a bit small. The hair dryer is in the cabin, not the bathroom. It was about 15 cabins from the elevator. The room also seemed larger than I have had before with a sofa and small table. The room was quiet.
