I have read many reviews in the past but this is the first one I have written. My family have cruised several times, all with Carnival, and I have read several reviews that are so negative that I felt the need to write my own. My husband and I chose this cruise as a way to celebrate his 50th birthday. We arrived in Tampa port and embarkation was a breeze. No problems at all. We had a balcony on the 8th floor which was really nice as usual. I have seen many complaints about the "old" TV's...which didn't bother us at all because we were on vacation and our priority was not to be watching TV. We enjoyed our first evening on the cruise and we had anytime dining, which was perfect for us. We ate dinner every evening at 6:00 pm and had the same wait team, led by Natalia, and she took wonderful care of us every evening. We enjoyed our next day at sea and relaxed around the main pool area. The first port was Cozumel and we went to Passion Island on the twister boat and had a wonderful day including lunch. The following day we were in Roatan and enjoyed an entirely beautiful day at Mahogany Beach. Took the skyride to the beach and loved relaxing in the sun all day. Our next 2 ports were cancelled due to weather...not at all any fault of the cruise line. Belize is a port that requires tendering and the sea was unusually rough this entire week due to 2 cold fronts that moved in and there was no way that we could be taken to the island safely. The following day, at Costa Maya, the only port available for us to dock at required the ship to turn sideways. There were 40 mile and hour winds that kept pushing the boat away from the dock, therefore the gangway could not be secured. Once again, this was not the ship or cruise line's fault and I applaud them for keeping everyone's safetly their priority. My husband and I decided to just enjoy the ship and being together and tried to dismiss the negative comments. They gave us free wine at dinner that evening, free bingo games, and offered 25% DISCOUNT on a future cruise that I know we will be taking advantage of.

The food was really good. Guys Burgers are great. The mexican burritos are to die for! We also tried Davids Steak House and absolutely loved it!

We went to all of the shows and honestly, we enjoyed them. We also loved the music entertainment in the center of the atrium and found ourselves hanging out there after dinner. Lots of people were singing and dancing and we loved it.
