This was our first cruise. We have been reading reviews on Cruise Critics for a year in prepartation for the trip. Thank you to all of those that shared their experiences. It certainly helped make our trip very enjoyable.

We booked through Casino at Sea and arived a few days early in New Orleans to tour the city.

Boarding day was a little hectic, however the lines seemd to move well and we were through the process and on ship in about 35 minutes. Once on board we were not sure what to do so we found our room, which was not ready. The stewart introduced himself (Russel Gomes) and upon learning that this was our first cruise, provided us with a lot of information as to what to expect. We returned to our room an hour later after touring the ship.

Oceanview Picture Window

We were surprized to see how large the room was. (aft picture window view). My expectation was much less so the room and the comfort was great with nothing else to compare to. The room was up to date and the bed linens were very comfortable. There was pleanty of storage space. The only issue I had was the soap and shampoo dispensers. Would have liked to see higher end aminities.
