Pre cruise we stayed at the Hilton Garden Hotel in Staten Island on a cruise package. Had a very good dinner that night at Lorenzo's in the hotel for my wife's birthday. The next morning we had a free shuttle ride to the Port when we get back from the cruise it will pick us up and return us to our car - saves the hassle and expense of parking at the cruise terminal.

Embarkation - from the time our shuttle dropped us off until we set foot on the ship was 15 minutes. The only hiccup was getting a porter to take our bags because some many people did not have their luggage tags on their bags and the porters had to write them up individually. I felt sorry for the porters as it was 8 degrees and they had all this extra work to do in the freezing cold. Once inside the terminal it was a breeze getting onto the ship.Disembarkation took 14 minutes from the time we walked off the ship to curb side.

Cabin - We were on deck 11 on the bump and had an extra large balcony. The cabin is great, the bathroom seem to be a carbon copy of the Celebrity Solstice class ships which was nice. There was plenty of storage space. The bed, couch and desk chair were like sitting on cement and the pillows also sucked. They seemed to discourage meals in the room as they charge for hot items for breakfast and there is no table in the room and on the balcony just a tiny table that would only hold a couple of drinks. It's shame they are starting to nickel and dime you along with the minibar they also now have snacks and other alcoholic beverages on the dresser for pay along with the room service breakfast charges. The internet was unbelievable for a cruise ship and always work even during one cloudy afternoon.
