Sail Date: Feb 2015
Cabin: Ocean View Stateroom

I sailed from Miami on the Majesty of the Seas for my birthday. My sister had arranged for the room to be decorated and chilled champagne to be waiting for us. The room looked beautiful, with streamers and banners on the walls, and a fruit basket with brie (and no knife to spread it) was waiting along with the champagne. At dinner that night, the waitstaff brought dessert with a candle and sang to me. Wonderful!

The cabin was large enough for a queen size bed, plenty of closet space for a 3-day cruise, and the bathroom was adequate. Everything was spotlessly clean. The room steward was friendly and available, and the towel folders hit twice, once with swans and once with an adorable bunny.

The water was rough, so we missed CocoCay. The weather was quite cool, so we didn't want to use the pool, and the hot tubs were full of 6-10 people the whole time (people stay for hours with no regard for others who might want to use them.) So, on our extra day at sea, they put on some extra entertainment, and we took salsa and cha-cha dancing lessons. These were fabulous fun! The professional dancers on the ship were unbelievably good, and the shows were great. The comedian was good, too, and the piano bar was very entertaining. Overall, the entertainment was excellent.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F1

Our ocean view stateroom was right in the front of deck 6, so we could see the deckhands just below our window when they were handling the lines. It was entertaining! The down side of this room is that in rough seas, the bow of the ship moves the most, so there was quite a bit of motion. Not a place for those with motion sickness. As for size, we found it very comfortable, and the bathroom was adequate for the two of us. We had a bed, desk, closet, shower, single sink vanity, safe, and hair dryer.
